Our small, strong management team have high level skills and experience in commercialisation of Australian technologies, IP development and management, and specialised industry experience in the global medical device and the superconducting magnet industries.
The Company’s key management team includes Ms Nicky Milsom (General Manager) who has been involved with Magnetica since its launch in January 2005 and has extensive experience in commercialisation of MRI related technologies. Importantly Ms Milsom leads a small but highly qualified team of professionals contracted from the University of Queensland. This team is based at the University, and has access to University infrastructure, and vast intellectual knowledge banks within The University’s Biomedical Engineering Group led by Professor Stuart Crozier
General Manager – Nicky Milsom (BSc, MBA, MAICD)
Ms Milsom has been General Manager of Magnetica since April 2009, and prior to that Deputy CEO of the Company. She has over 20 year’s industry, higher education and government experience in the UK and Australia in R&D management and commercialization, including a range of major engineering and infrastructure projects. Ms Milsom has demonstrated cross-sector and cross-culture partnership skills, including initiating and building effective and productive alliances in business and other sectors.
Ms Milsom has five years experience in the medical imaging industry, and a thorough understanding of national and international imaging, devices, and biotechnology industries. She has a depth of experience relating to patents and manages the Company’s growing patent portfolio. Ms Milsom has a BSc (Hons) in Chemistry (Sussex, UK) and MBA (UQ).
Company Secretary – Mr Stephen Denaro BA, Grad Dip (Corporate Governance),CA, MAICD
Magnetica's Company Secretary is Mr Stephen Denaro, a respected company secretary experienced in start up, IPO and publicly listed companies. Stephen has extensive experience in mergers and acquisitions, business valuations, accountancy services and income tax compliance gained from holding positions as Company Secretary and Chief Financial Officer of various public companies, and with major chartered accountancy firms in Australia and the United Kingdom. He provides company secretary services for a number of start up technology companies.
